Soft Skills

Giving Teams Wings

Empower your teams and impress your stakeholders

Give Teams Wings

Your culture is your process. Sure you've got it written down somewhere on your intranet, but what actually gets done is encoded in your people, not your filesystem. As an experienced team coach I help align your team to the process (and vice versa) with the ultimate goal of empowering them to lead their own initiatives.

Root Out Issues

Let's not beat around the bush. Often the wrong problem is solved or an unspoken issue is not addressed. From and outsiders perspective I can pinpoint the root issue with greater clarity and without getting caught up in cultural taboos.

Stop Bluffing

Transparency is the foundation of trust. You sense it when it's not there, and so do your customers and team. Knowing where things are at is essential to convincing people you've got it together. I establish robust measurement systems, change management and reporting practices so that you can be straight with your customers.

Agile, Not Hype

Horses For Courses. Many companies find they need to hybridise Agile and Waterfall to a degree to fit an existing structure. I have experience fitting and tuning Agile to a wide range of companies delivering embedded software developers through to SaaS. No religion, no hype, just problems solved.

Act Now!

Projects don't slip a month at a time.

They slip minute by minute from the drag imposed by poor culture and wasteful process.

How long will you let this go on?

Integrated Approach

Let me walk a mile in your shoes. There's no better way to understand a company than to experience it first hand. I offer my skills as a project manager, scrum master, developer or coffee slave to contribute to the team during the discovery phase of the engagement.

Iterative Delivery

Low risk. I practice what I preach, and so I prefer an iterative approach to delivering client value. Initial discovery will yield a prioritised backlog of issues to resolve which we will review and work though month by month. Once that tails off we'll know it's time for me to move on.

Value for Money

Balance production vs capability. Most companies can only absorb so much change before improvement becomes a distraction from delivery. My experience is that 1-2 days/week is sufficient to drive improvements effectively. The rest you can spend elsewhere.

Satisfaction Guaranteed

Dissatisfied? No problem. If you feel dissatisfied with the service provided I'll happily refund the part in dispute, subject to conditions agreed in our contract.
